The activities in this section of the book have been selected to bring together the topics and the language used in Talk Greek as a coherent whole. They are suitable as revision material or as assessment activities.

The activities can be extended in the following ways if you feel that your learners need additional practice.

Activities 1 and 4 - substitute alternative sentences / questions for different situations.

Activities 2 and 5 - prepare mini role cards for your learners to use in extended pair work.

Activity 6 - record yourself or a/nother native speaker giving various sets of directions to places on real maps of Greek towns for additional listening practice.

Activity 7 - prepare any number of similar sentences with alternative phrases / vocabulary, especially if any areas of weakness (e.g. grammar) have been identified.

Activity 8 - record alternative information regarding departure / arrival times and prices for extended listening practice.

Activities 9 and 10 - introduce other useful regular verbs for pairs to plan their own weekly programme of activities and then present it to the group using the first person plural.

Activities 11 and 12 - these can be made into a 'Who am I?' type of game where you give each learner the name of someone else in the group and ask them to circulate and answer personal information.

Activity 13 - provide authentic reading material on this topic and prepare questions on it.

Activity 14 - this activity can be added to ad infinitum and presented for listening or reading practice.

Also, encourage your learners to devise their own puzzles, word searches, board games, etc. to reinforce vocabulary in all topic areas for themselves and their classmates.
