BBC Active Languages has 80 years' experience in producing language courses for learners around the world. Today, learners (and tutors) can choose from a wide range of innovative and exciting BBC products. Whether you're looking for simple guides, phrase books and audio to help you get by on holiday, short courses and grammars to build up your vocabulary and confidence or more in-depth courses for beginners or intermediates, the BBC Active Languages' range can help you achieve your goal.

Designed by language-teaching experts, our courses make the best use of today's technology. We aim to offer something for everyone, with book and audio, audio-only and multi-media courses. You can also record complementary, critically-acclaimed programmes such as The French Experience, Sueños World Spanish, Deutsch Plus and Italianissimo, which are broadcast regularly on the BBC TWO Learning Zone. There are also free online activities at www.bbc.co.uk/languages, which complement many of the products in our range.
