Buongiorno Italia!
Q. What is it? A. A comprehensive course based on conversations and interviews recorded in Italy. It focuses on the spoken language used in everyday situations from shopping to travelling.
Authentic dialogues introduce useful language in an everyday context. Familiarise yourself with Italian by listening to the audio CDs or cassettes, practise what you've learned through a combination of interactive role-plays and written exercises, and monitor your progress with regular review sections.
Q. Who is it for? A. The course is aimed at beginners, and those with a little Italian.
Q. How do I use it? A. Using the CDs and course book, you can listen to and absorb the language before practising and testing your speaking and listening skills. The 304-page course book contains language notes, information about Italy, exercises and reading passages. There is also a reference section at the back of the book contains a key to the exercises, a grammar and a glossary that provide support throughout the course.
Q. What language level can I reach? A. You should be able to communicate in and understand basic Italian, to a level roughly equivalent to GCSE.
