Quickstart German
Q. What is it? A. A new audio series offering complete beginners a fast and effective way of getting started in a new language. Quickstart is a fun, accessible introduction to the essential language for everyday holiday and travel situations, through the story of three friends on a trip to 'do' Hamburg. Join them as they meet up, take a plane, find a cab and a hotel, visit the town, eat lunch, go shopping, send postcards, go for cocktails, visit a club and more - all within the space of twenty-four hours…
Q. Who is it for? A. The course is aimed at beginners, and those who know a little German.
Q. How do I use it? A. The audio-only approach allows for complete flexibility in choosing where and when you want to listen. The CDs/cassettes can be used at home or out and about - on the train, in the car, or even at the gym. Language is presented in short, accessible chunks for easy learning with no need to master complicated grammar or phrases. Each of the 15 episodes is centred on two conversations in key holiday situations and is divided into sections designed to help you listen, reflect, kickstart and recap the language you've learnt.
Q. What language level could I reach? A. Quickstart builds your confidence quickly with clear explanations, pronunciation tips and plenty of opportunities to practise. You will be speaking basic German in no time.
