BBC Active
BBC Active is a joint venture between Pearson Education and BBC Active. The programmes listed on this site have all been shown on BBC television. and have been either made or commissioned for broadcast, by the BBC. In some cases, additional commentary has been added by a leading expert under the supervision of BBC Active.

Copyright
Not all BBC programmes are available for use in education and training, due to copyright restrictions. Please also note that the list of available titles continues to grow, so if you can't find what you're looking for, please contact us direct.

All programmes listed on this site are for use in education and training. This means that they can only be purchased by personnel from educational institutions. No admittance fee may be charged for seeing any of these products. The products must be used as distributed. It is not permitted to edit, cut or re-transmit them in any way without the express written consent of BBC Active. Due to copyright restrictions, the programmes in this catalogue are not available for sale to the general public for use in the home.

Online/eLearning
Many of the titles listed on this site have been licensed to organisations as rich media content for use in online learning. Please note that the purchase of titles on VHS does not include the right to use it for these purposes. A separate licensing agreement must be bought for online learning. Screenings at Festivals and other events
Large selections of titles in our catalogue are available for screening in non-competitive festivals, exhibitions and retrospectives. These can be provided on any film or video format depending on your requirements. Please contact us for further information regarding screening fees.

Sale only
Titles listed on this site are for sale only. We cannot hire, lend or loan any products and are unable to offer a preview service. We are unable to provide a back-up service for ERA registered educational establishments that have forgotten to record BBC broadcasts. In such cases, BBC Active can only offer BBC broadcasts on video that have been cleared for educational use.

International Sales
The BBC Active range offers many titles for sale in North America, Australia and other countries directly from BBC overseas offices and appointed distributors. Some titles may not be available in your country due to copyright restrictions. We are always happy to explain the complex issues surrounding copyrights. Please contact us for further details. Visitors from Australia, New Zealand and Asia should email their requests to bbcactive.education-aus@pearson.com

About the Ordering System
For copyright and security reasons, BBC Active must independently confirm every order placed. We do not process online payments. Once you submit an order through www.bbcactive.com/broadcastlearning you will receive an email confirming costs and payment terms from one of our representatives. This is usually done within two working days. back

BBC Active collects information from you for three reasons:

To process your order, we collect your name, email address and postal address.
To make your visit more rewarding and useful, we may monitor customer patterns and your use of the website via cookies. Please see the information below on cookies.
Should you consent, to send you information about learning trends, case studies, future products, promotions and site enhancements by email, mail or telephone.

We will only give your details to other carefully-selected third parties. Under no circumstance will this be done without your express consent. If we transfer your data to these companies we will ensure that they process your data in accordance with this privacy policy and the Data Protection Act.

To update your personal details or change any aspects of the permissions you have granted us, such as opting not to have your details transferred to other third parties or unsubscribing from email newsletters, either visit the registration page or send an email direct to us at bbcactive.bbcstudies@pearson.com.

Cookies
There are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not in themselves recognise the individual user but will recognise the computer you are using so that we know when you are returning to the BBC Active Studies website.

Pricing
The pricing of products depends on the type of your organisation. Academic institutions and charities generally pay less per title than corporate customers. Please email bbcactive.bbcstudies@pearson.com for further details.

VAT (British Sales Tax)
All prices quoted exclude VAT. VAT will be added to all UK and European Community invoices at the current rate. VAT will not be charged to European Community countries (excl. UK) on production of a valid VAT number at the time of order.

Postage
Prices quoted do not include postage. The separate cost of postage is calculated once you place your order.

Payment
If you place an order through the online ordering system, a BBC Active representative will contact you to confirm the payment option that you prefer.

There are two methods of payment:

Credit Cards
We currently accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express. When your order is confirmed by a BBC Active representative you will be asked to give your credit card details over the phone.

Invoice
For customers outside the UK, a proforma invoice for the amount of your order will be sent to you. Once this has been paid, your order will be shipped.

For UK customers, an official purchase order number is required. Your order will be shipped and an invoice issued immediately thereafter. We reserve the right to refuse payment by invoice.

Returns
All products are checked by our Quality Control team. However should you discover a fault, you must contact us within 14 days in order for us to arrange a replacement. No order may be cancelled after despatch of the products. Except where the products are deemed faulty, BBC Active reserves the right to refuse a refund for any reason.
